Lil’ Kickers is a nationally renowned, non-competitive child development soccer program for boys and girls ages 18 months to nine years. This program introduces children to the concept of soccer, while also developing movement and interaction skills. In fact, we don’t just teach soccer to kids – we use soccer as a tool to teach kids about life. The Fall 2008 session begins on Tuesday, September 2nd, so sign up your Lil’ Kicker today! Enrollment is always open and classes are pro-rated. Detailed class schedules are posted here. Call, email, or sign in to your MySAM account for more information and to sign up! Not sure where to place your Lil’ Kicker? We have a variety of choices for ages 18 months to nine years. Class descriptions are below:
Bunnies (18 – 24 Months) – Parent & Child Classes
Thumpers (2-3 Years) – Parent & Child Classes
Cottontails (2.5-3.5 Years) – Parent & Child Classes
Cottontails is a class designed for children who are ready for more of a challenge than a Thumpers class, but who are not quite ready to be on the field without a parent or caregiver. The Cottontails curriculum is designed to build fundamental skills such as balance, coordination, and ball skills. Cottontails classes also offer another component-helping your child build a sense of independence. As children progress through the session and become ready for more independence, parents can choose to transition to a less active roll in the class, helping prepare the child to transition to the next level.
- Cottontails classes are 50 minutes long
- The ratio for Cottontails is 12:1 w/parents on the field
Hoppers (3 & 4 Years) – Beginning
Jackrabbits (3 & 4 Years) – Intermediate
Big Feet (5 & 6 years) – Beginning
Micro 4/5 Class, Micro 6/7 Class, Micro 8/9 Class - Intermediate Level
Micro Advanced Class (6-8 Years) - Advanced Level
Micro Advanced Classes introduce more complex soccer tactics and skills. The smaller student to teacher ratio allows for an increased level of individual instruction. Children are taught new team concepts and individual skills, and are challenged to apply them in the scrimmage at the end of each class. The Micro Advanced Class is the highest level of the Lil’ Kickers program and is very popular for kids who love soccer.Format
